She said his name five times. Screamed his name five times. She heard his voice telling her to hang on and to fight. And even though his voice was merely a figment of her imagination, it was the reason she kept fighting, to hang on, to live. He is her rock. She was so sure that he’d find her and save her yet again, only this time he didn’t. When Ryan lifted her up and she saw that Castle wasn’t there, that truly scared that absolute crap out of her. He wasn’t there.She ruined it because she was blinded by her own determination. After more than three years of partnership, this was the first time he wasn’t truly by her side. She was so close this time…so close to losing it all, to losing her chance with him, and she knew she could never let that happen again.
